Trust Standard

Trust isn't a feature. It's our product.

Every SisonkeStar is vetted, trained and monitored. These are the ten steps a person moves through before a family sees them as Active, and the reason a green tick appears on a Trust Passport.

01

Identity verified

We confirm the person is who they say they are. A government identity document is checked against the face and the details on the application. A family should never have to guess who is coming through the door.

02

Right to work verified

We confirm the person is legally allowed to do this work in the country where they will show up. A profile is not offered to a family until that right is on record.

03

Background screening

A criminal-record and related background screening is completed to the level the role requires. Companion, Professional, Kids and Coordinator are not screened to the same bar. The stricter role sets the stricter check.

04

References checked

People who have actually seen this person work, or care for someone, are contacted. A reference is a conversation, not a name on a form. We look for reliability, respect and what happens when a plan changes.

05

Human interview

A person at Sisonke360 meets them. The interview is about judgement, dignity and how they speak about the people they would support. A clean document does not replace that conversation.

06

Scenario assessment

They are taken through real family situations: a parent who will not answer the phone, a child who must only be collected by a named adult, a hospital discharge, a request that is outside their role. We watch what they do, and what they refuse.

07

Sisonke Academy training

Before activation they complete the Sisonke Academy preparation for their pathway: presence, communication with the family, boundaries, and when to escalate. Academy training is role-specific. It is not a licence to deliver clinical care.

08

Role-specific verification

A Companion is not a nurse. A nurse is not automatically approved for children. Professional pathways require the registration that profession demands, checked with the relevant body. Kids pathways require the extra safeguarding that role demands. The Trust Passport shows the role that was actually approved.

09

Supervised activation

The first assignments are supervised. A SisonkeStar is not simply switched to Active. Activation follows a completed, reviewed introduction so the family and Sisonke360 have both seen how the person shows up.

10

Continuous monitoring

Trust is not a one-time badge. After activation, visits are recorded through Proof of Presence, families can say whether they would choose the person again, and the Trust Passport stays current. A check that lapses comes off the profile. Quality status is either current or it is not shown.
