Sisonke360 aims to match the level of support to the actual need. A Companion should never perform work that requires a healthcare professional. A family should not have to pay for a clinician when they need companionship.
Where a need is clinical or otherwise regulated, the future network is intended to involve an appropriately qualified and registered professional. Possible professions include nurses, doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, psychologists and emergency-care professionals. None of these professionals are contracted to Sisonke360 today. Registration would be checked where it applies. We do not claim that any council has approved this network.
The line between tasks will be written down, trained, and supervised before anyone is sent. It is not a slogan we are prepared to leave vague.
