What is a SisonkeStar?

A SisonkeStar is a member of the Sisonke360 network who has been approved for a defined support role. Depending on the pathway, that may be companionship, practical support, professional services, child-authorised support, or family coordination.

Every role has its own requirements. Being a SisonkeStar is not simply completing an application. It is about trust, reliability, dignity, accountability, and being there when a family needs someone. An application does not make someone verified.

SisonkeStar

Companion

Companionship, wellbeing visits, shopping, errands, hospital companionship, appointments, technology help, practical family support. Not clinical care.

SisonkeStar

Professional

Nurses, doctors, paramedics, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, social workers, dietitians and other approved professionals. Registration is checked before anyone is shown as verified.

SisonkeStar

Kids

People specifically approved for authorised child-related assignments, with extra safeguarding. A Companion is not automatically a Kids responder.

Coordinator

Internal family-support and operations roles inside Sisonke360. Not a substitute for the person who shows up.

Payment for approved assignments would follow the engagement for that role. Earnings are not guaranteed.

Later pathways may include senior support, coordination, operations and training. None of those roles are open today.
